Initiation and planning of this project consists of two sections:
The first section - from Ad Halom Bridge to Bnei Brit Bridge, where an extensive park will be developed that will include the adjustment of the river channel to the new capacities to prevent flood damage in the city of Ashdod and the geomorphological and ecological improvement of the river, which includes the widening of the channels, the return of meanders that existed in the 1950s and were eliminated in the drainage works that were carried out, seizing areas for expansion The shoulders of the river, the construction of the river so that it has complexity Structurally, planting trees and Israelite vegetation typical of the area, enhancing the local attractions and creating high-quality moist habitats in the spring areas.
The second section - from the Bnei Brit bridge to the sea - this section is a section of Nahal Etan where there is a flow of water in a wide stream throughout the year. The plan in this section is to take care of the water quality and allow unlimited sailing in the river and the creation of tourist attractions that will enhance the experience of the river and its surroundings
